Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will we be indoors?

    • Our property has spectacular views in true northwest style. We have a beautiful wooden pavilion covering the reception area but it is not enclosed. While we have patio heaters (if the couple chooses to rent them) and blankets, we do recommend that you bring outerwear if you get cold easily.

  • What do you do if it rains?

    • For light sprinkles, we have white umbrellas for you to borrow. If it is too stormy for umbrellas, we will move the ceremony under the pavilion. Unless it is a safety issue, we let our couples choose what option they prefer.

  • What about my food allergies?

    • While we help our couples find their perfect caterer, we do not prepare the food. If you have specific allergies or life threatening allergies, we always recommend you bring your food in a cooler and we will keep it in the refrigerator for you.

  • Will we be in the sun all day?

    • Our beautiful ceremony lawn is the only place where you might be in the sun but we do have white umbrellas for you to borrow that look cute in the photos! Other than that, you will be under the pavilion for the reception.

  • What do you do in case of extreme heat?

    • We try to be as prepared as possible for all weather conditions. If it is very hot, we recommend keeping people who can’t take the heat in their cars with A/C until closer to the ceremony.

    • We have white umbrellas for you to borrow for shade while sitting on the lawn.

    • We hose down the concrete and turn on fans so once you are under the pavilion, it is much cooler. We also have plenty of cold water available!

  • What is the terrain? (What shoes should I wear?)

    • The parking lot and pathway to the venue is all gravel so we recommend wearing flats or block heels. The ceremony is on the lawn and the reception and dance floor is on concrete. There will be a golf cart shuttle available 30 minutes before the ceremony and you will find that in the parking lot.

  • Should I bring my children?

    • We ask that you honor the couple’s wishes regarding children. If they are permitted, please stay with them on the property. There are large drop-offs and areas where we cannot have children playing. We have a play structure but children must be attended at all times.
